Legal Assistant

We are seeking a proactive and organized Civil Litigation Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and help drive successful outcomes for our clients.
Position Overview
The Civil Litigation Legal Assistant will play a critical role in supporting attorneys through all phases of the litigation process. This individual will manage case files, assist with court filings, coordinate deadlines, and ensure efficient case progression.
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support to attorneys in civil litigation matters

Draft, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence

Manage case calendars and track important deadlines (court dates, filings, discovery deadlines)

File documents with state and federal courts (including e-filing systems)

Maintain and organize case files (physical and electronic)

Coordinate discovery processes, including document production and review
-
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally

Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, binders, and witness coordination

Perform legal and factual research as needed
Qualifications
-
4+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in civil litigation (required)

Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules

Experience with e-filing in state and/or federal courts

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with legal software/case management systems is a plus
