American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with an active Missouri PTA license and 1+ year of experience for a 13-week day shift contract in an outpatient therapy department in Festus, MO.

Outpatient physical therapy department within an acute care hospital setting
-
Multidisciplinary department also servicing occupational and speech therapy
-
Patient population primarily consists of adults with diagnoses including orthopedics, ortho surgical, pain management, neurological conditions, and sports medicine
-
All therapy is provided 1:1 with no double-booking of patients

Standard treatment sessions are 30 minutes, with flexibility based on patient needs

Uses Epic EMR

Day shift, 5x8 schedule

Weekend hours as per facility needs

Floating required as needed

Holiday coverage on a rotating basis

Active PTA license in Missouri required; license required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of recent PTA experience required
-
No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted

Flu vaccination required from November 1 through April 1; declinations/exceptions must be client approved

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless documentation of scheduled renewal is provided

Productivity expectation is 80% patient care time per shift

Supportive department with a team ranging from newer graduates to experienced therapists
-
Black scrubs required; no other attire is acceptable

Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
-
Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a minimum 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required

The facility received an A grade in The Leapfrog Group's Fall 2024 Hospital Safety Grade
