Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their needs and preferences
- Educate customers on product effects, usage methods, and safety considerations through engaging product demos
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management
- Upsell products by highlighting new or complementary items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting inventory counts to ensure product availability
- Handle retail store product knowledge confidently to answer customer questions effectively
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to cannabis sales and age restrictions
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a customer-focused environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and team collaboration
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for sales and inventory management
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, stock replenishment, and retail store operations
- Knowledge of cannabis products or willingness to learn about retail store product knowledge is preferred
