Tynes Mental Health Agency is seeking Intensive-In-Home and Mental Health Skill Building Counselors to provide direct clinical services to children and adults. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and compassionate individual to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provides direct clinical services to clients, including individual and family interventions, and issue-specific or educational groups (parenting skills, anger management, substance abuse interventions).
· Prepares daily progress notes (BIRP) within 24 hours of services, quarterly's; discharge summaries and modifications to treatment plans.
· Facilitates care coordination to identify additional resources and supports.
· Responds to crisis situations with twenty-four hour a day availability.
·Ensures adherence to State licensure, human rights, and Department of Labor regulations and standards.
· Participates in Client Specific Team, Family Assessment and Planning Team, and other interdisciplinary, diagnostic, or planning meetings
· Links clients with external programs or services, such as health services, recreational activities, case management, anger management, medication management; etc.
· Attends court hearings when clients are court-involved and presents testimony and treatment recommendations as requested by attorneys, referral source, the court, or clients.
· Works with Clinical Director & Staffing Supervisor to increase effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
· Prepares written Discharge Summary and Plan to transition clients to step down services such as Intensive in home (IIH) counseling for children and adolescents
Skills & Qualifications:
- MUST BE QMHP Qualified
- Must have a current TB Skin Test; Valid Driver's License; Acceptable Driving Record; CPR/First-Aid Certified
- Bachelor or Master's degree in a human services field with a background in mental health services (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field) is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with children or adults with mental health illnesses
- Ability to communicate effectively with others (written and verbal).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality at all times during case conferences.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
