Responsibilities
Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for an entry level full-time Capital Markets Paralegal to be based in our New York office. The Firm’s expectation is that this job will primarily be an in-person job. This position will support the New York Capital Markets Practice Group. This position will report to the Practice Group Leader, with daily work performed primarily under the direction of the assigned practice group lawyers.
- On-going interaction and communication with attorneys, opposing counsel, clients and other third parties.
- Oversee and coordinate transaction closings and assist attorneys in reviewing, organizing, obtaining and preparing closing documentation.
- Assemble and distribute all post-closing documentation to transaction parties.
- Fulfill requests and field questions from clients and transaction parties.
- Maintain all records for completed transactions.
- Prepare and ensure timely filing of UCC financing statements and continuations.
- Conduct pre-closings, coordinate execution of closing documents and maintain transaction files.
- These duties may be ongoing or ad-hoc in nature.
- Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.
Pursuant to New York law, the salary range for this position in New York is $57,500 to $62,500, based on experience.

- Ability to recognize and comprehend facts and legal concepts.
- Ability to meet minimum billable hourly requirement.
- Ability to transport files, documents and office supplies throughout the office.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tool(s), document management software, Intapp or other timekeeping software, Internet required.
- Excellent client service, ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
