Full-time, Para-Professionals needed for the Grand Island Head Start. Wage is $15.29 per hour with a $1.00 pay differential for those with an A.A. in ECE. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education Preferred. Benefits include paid time off and on going training opportunities available.

The Para-Professional is responsible for working in a team environment to assist the Teacher and classroom employees in providing support for educational activities, meals, classroom management, and other classroom activities in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards.
- Utilize developmentally appropriate classroom activities for children.
- Encourage parents to participate in the program in a variety of ways that fit their skills and time. Collect in-kind related to this participation.
- Attend employee meetings and professional development.
- Complete classroom and curriculum preparation duties as assigned.
- Enter GOLD observations for children.
- Work towards CDA (Child Development Associate) if qualifications are not met upon hire. Actively work towards CDA and communicate monthly progress with supervisor.
