Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Support Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care in our Elementary and Primary schools (students Kindergarten to 5th Grade). This is a 10 month position (summers off).
Duties
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and district policies.
- Monitor and manage students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures).
- Assist with daily care needs such as catheterization, tube feedings, or oxygen therapy if required.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students.
- Conduct vision, hearing, height, weight, and scoliosis screenings.
- Track immunization compliance and notify families of missing requirements.
- Monitor communicable diseases and follow school/district protocols for reporting and prevention.
- Communicate with parents/guardians about student health concerns, injuries, or special care needs.
- Work with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support students’ health and learning.
- Serve as a liaison between families, healthcare providers, and the school.
- Educate students on healthy habits, hygiene, and basic self-care.
- Provide staff with training on emergency procedures (e.g., EpiPen use, CPR awareness).
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) or 504 plans for students with health-related needs.
- Document all health office visits, medications, and treatments.
- Maintain supplies and equipment in the health office.
- Assist in developing and enforcing health-related policies and procedures.
Experience in schools preferred, but not required.
Clearances required prior to hire.

Pay: $42,177.50 - $52,398.57 per year
