Commercial Lines Producer will work with our customer; the retail insurance agent, in order to solicit, underwrite, market, and bind coverage on the agent’s behalf within the excess and surplus lines market place. Qualified candidates will be able to conduct marketing and sales initiatives successfully in accordance with company strategies, as well as be able to qualify and develop business opportunities with new and existing agents. Direct and mentor account managers, associate producers and assistant account managers.
Attend company approved seminars and other educational activities, necessary to stay current on the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the marketplace.
Producer must consistently demonstrate a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude, in-line with our culture, while successfully performing the duties of the position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Qualified candidate will commit to an 18-24 month training to gain knowledge of business, sales, and marketing disciplines. Effective oral and written communications skills are required, along with excellent telephone skills (as well as all communication mediums currently utilized by Company) excellent customer services skills required. Qualified candidate must possess the ability, skills and desire to successfully work in a paperless, web-based environment proficiently.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors Degree desirable. A valid Property and Casualty license is required. Five plus years directly related experience with successful performance. Position requires regular travel to agency customer and company industry functions.
Expectation:
Additional responsibilities include meeting or exceeding production goals of $150,000-$200.000 min revenue, and conducting oneself in a professional and knowledgeable manner that prevents errors and omissions, while providing advisory support and regular updates to Manager.
