We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clamp Forklift/Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating clamp trucks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, and organize inventory. Your expertise in warehouse operations, safety protocols, and inventory management will ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes.
Shift availability 1st and 3rd
Responsibilities
- Safely operate clamp trucks, forklifts to load and unload shipments.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments with precision, verifying quantities and ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and order picking to fulfill warehouse distribution needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage.
- Follow OSHA standards, forklift safety protocols, and safety standards in production to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Assist with warehouse organization, materials handling, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment including clamp trucks, reach trucks.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory management practices, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards such as OSHA guidelines.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot or perform minor repairs on equipment when necessary.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety protocols including forklift safety protocols and proper use of material handling equipment.
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse supervision is a plus but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
