Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Installer/Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces to create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects, ensuring safety and precision at every step. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install drywall panels according to construction plans and schematics
- Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to achieve a seamless appearance
- Repair damaged drywall or existing surfaces with appropriate patching techniques
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to interpret project specifications accurately
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for drywall installation, texturing, and finishing tasks
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to ensure project cohesion and quality standards are met
- Follow all safety protocols and construction workplace safety regulations during every phase of work
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing, or related construction roles
- Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting schematics
- Skilled in using hand tools such as knives, taping knives, sanders, drills, and saws; proficient with power tools for drywall work
- Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Ability to read construction plans and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with drywall mudding, taping, texturing (including stucco), repair work, and plastering techniques
- Additional skills in framing carpentry, metal stud framing, fixture installation, flooring installation, or remodeling are a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently.
