- Universal Behavioral Health Hospital is a 36 bed adult psych hospital admitting patient ages of 18 years and older. State of the art facility therapeutically designed and built in down town Hammond.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Intake Coordinator will be responsible for managing and accepting patients referrals, and admitting patients
- Managing bed control and keeping accurate count of bed availability.
- Administer/process patient demographic and insurance information. Complete and submit patient pre certification/authorization
- Maintain patient referral log.
- Complete patient registration in the computer system
- Collect, verify, record, and process intake demographics, insurance/payment, and referral information.
- Collaborate with family members, primary care physicians, and/or referring hospitals.
- Respond to email inquiries from potential clients, family members, or referring hospitals.
Requirements:
Medical background required.
Psych hospital intake experience required. Nursing background preferred.
Current Louisiana Nursing license required.
Salary:
