JRT Electric, LLC is a growing electrical contracting company serving residential and commercial customers throughout Connecticut. We’re looking for a dependable and organized Administrative Assistant to help support our daily office operations. This position provides day-to-day administrative support, assists with customer communications, helps coordinate schedules, manages permits and paperwork, and may assist with basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries professionally
- Take accurate messages and respond to customer inquiries
- Provide customer service support by addressing inquiries via phone or email, ensuring client communication is clear and friendly
- Schedule and coordinate customer estimates and appointments
- Prepare, submit, and track electrical permit applications
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper files
- Assist with data entry and document management
- Support invoicing, billing, and basic accounting tasks as needed with QuickBooks Online; training available
- Process mail, emails, and other office correspondence
- Communicate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and municipal offices
- Assist with project documentation and administrative support
- Perform general clerical duties and other administrative tasks as assigned
Experience
- Previous office experience in administrative or clerical roles demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks software is a plus
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Construction or contractor office experience is great, but not required
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
