Must be available to work nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs, including product demos and answering questions about merchandise
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to enhance product visibility and appeal
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support stocking and inventory management tasks to ensure shelves are replenished promptly and accurately
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings is a plus
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team collaboration
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, retail math calculations, and giving correct change confidently
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is beneficial
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service orientation, and a positive attitude toward teamwork
