Position Summary:
JCCA is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team on our Westchester Residential Campus. The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring that high-quality medical care is provided to all children on our residential campus in accordance with regulatory requirements, agency policies, and nursing best practices. The RN serves as a key member of the treatment team, supporting the physical health needs of youth while promoting wellness, education, and continuity of care.
Job Responsibilities:

Conduct initial medical assessments, including vital signs and point-of-care testing (pregnancy, strep, flu, COVID-19, glucose, etc.)

Provide direct nursing care for illness and injury

Monitor treatment effectiveness and medication side effects

Follow up on accidents, incidents, emergency room visits, and sick visits to ensure appropriate care plans are implemented

Administer medications and maintain accurate medication administration records

Assist with prescription management and required documentation

Review immunization records, administer vaccines, and update immunization registries

Monitor and perform controlled substance counts and narcotic destruction procedures

Oversee the storage, delivery, and distribution of medications within residential cottages, as needed

Collaborate with medical providers, clinicians, case managers, and residential staff to coordinate comprehensive care

Educate youth, families, and staff on health-related topics and treatment plans

Facilitate health and wellness groups

Provide guidance to non-medical staff regarding residents' healthcare needs

Complete all required medical documentation and reporting in accordance with JCCA policies and regulatory standards

Participate in team meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Schedule:

Start time between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM

End time between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM

Consistent weekly schedule required
Required Qualifications:

Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience working with pediatric and/or adolescent populations
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new technology systems

Commitment to working with culturally diverse populations

Understanding of the impact of systemic inequities on children, families, and communities involved in the child welfare system
Preferred Qualifications:
Salary: $75K - $92K
