Job Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable, well-maintained vehicle that meets all applicable safety and insurance requirements
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working with children and committed to providing safe, courteous, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to use a smartphone.
- Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor.
Responsibilities
- Follow all state transportation regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during daily operations.
- Assist children with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring proper seat belt use and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding transportation schedules or delays.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times to promote a safe environment.
- Adhere to scheduled routes while managing time efficiently to ensure punctual pickups and drop-offs.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in shuttle driving roles with a focus on passenger safety.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Knowledge of local driving routes, heavy lifting techniques for luggage or equipment, and adherence to state transportation regulations.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly while maintaining safety standards.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
