Position summary
The Director of Teen Boutique is a full‑time, onsite strategic leader responsible for growing Teen Boutique into the premier teen shopping destination in Westchester County with potential for future regional growth. The Director leads program strategy, operations, staff and volunteer supervision, community partnerships, and the teen shopping experience.
Key responsibilities
● Strategic leadership — Develop and implement a 3‑year strategic plan with measurable annual targets for teen visitation, program quality, and partner engagement; translate strategy into annual operational plans and budgets with the Deputy Executive Director.
● Program design and teen experience — Create signature events, seasonal campaigns, and teen‑centered workshops; embed teen voice into programming; ensure dignity, privacy, safety, and cultural sensitivity.
● Operations and inventory strategy — Own merchandising and inventory strategy for teen clothing, footwear, underwear, socks, and hygiene; maintain 6–12 month demand projections; oversee seasonal changeovers and boutique presentation.
● People leadership — Hire, coach, and evaluate the Assistant Director and direct reports; set priorities and conduct annual reviews; partner with Volunteer Manager on recruitment, training, and retention.
● Community partnerships and communications — Build and steward relationships with schools, youth organizations, and local businesses to drive referrals and in‑kind support; secure, manage, and track partner MOUs and model releases; oversee partner onboarding and follow‑up; identify social media opportunities and share content with leadership.
● Data and reporting — Track KPIs and provide monthly operational reports to the Deputy Executive Director and quarterly summaries for the Board; chair the Teen Boutique Steering Committee.
Qualifications
● Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit program leadership, youth services, retail/merchandising, or related fields; experience in small nonprofit settings preferred.
● Strong program strategy, partnership development, and people management skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable representing the program publicly.
● Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends and to travel regionally.
● Commitment to equity, youth dignity, and trauma‑informed practices.
● Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Working conditions and physical requirements
● Full‑time onsite role with evening and weekend event responsibilities.
● Frequent standing and light lifting; hands‑on merchandising and public‑facing duties.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
