Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage comprehensive bookkeeping functions, ensure accurate payroll processing, and maintain the integrity of our financial records. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop and Online, and other financial systems
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Maintain detailed records of financial transactions, including debits & credits and double-entry bookkeeping procedures
- Assist with budgeting processes and generate financial reports to support organizational decision-making
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and general ledger accounting within a corporate or non-profit environment
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), and other financial management tools
- Solid understanding of accounting standards (GAAP), financial concepts, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries
- Excellent skills in spreadsheets and financial report writing for accurate data analysis and presentation
- Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
- Knowledge of payroll systems and compliance requirements for payroll processing across different jurisdictions
- Experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and budgeting processes

Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
