The Lead AV Technician is mainly responsible for building racks and installating projectors, screens, & flat panels. This role is also involved with installing other AV equipment including, cabling fiber optics, racking, and mounting AV devices/control units.
Essential Duties:
- Installing audio video products and components as specified by blueprints and to specifications.
- Pulling cable, installing connectors, projector mounting/hanging (ceiling mounts) and metal fabrication.
- Loading, configuration, and troubleshooting of Crestron, Extron, AMX and Biamp control systems.
- Assisting with mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring.
- Cisco networking including routers, switches and configuring wireless networks.
- Reading CAD generated prints and building blueprints and riser diagrams.
- Assisting with and performing installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.
- Performing basic math functions.
- Lifting up to 60 lbs., in addition to climbing, crawling, and raising items overhead.
- Performing out of town travel when necessary.
