Our client, a full-service moving and storage company, is looking for a Driver Helper to join their team in Malta, NY. In this role, you will assist drivers and the moving team with transporting, wrapping, and handling household items and packaging materials safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wrap, lift, and carry household items and packaging materials to and from trucks, homes, and warehouses
- Learn and apply efficient and safe lifting and carrying techniques under the guidance of the Driver Team Leader
- Follow directions from the driver and support the moving team as needed throughout the shift
- Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor with customers throughout the moving process
Requirements:
- Previous moving or material handling experience preferred; training will be provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly throughout the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work extended hours when needed
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Start time will vary between 6 am and 7: 30am
- Flexible end time required based on job completion
