Job Overview:
We are looking for a candidate with good organization skills, who knows their way around a kitchen, and wants to help leave our mark on the region! We have over 20 years experience operating restaurants in the Hudson Valley, but this is our newest and largest location to date just recently opened in the Eastdale Village with all new equipment and staff.
Our menu is similar to the menu at our flagship location in the city of Poughkeepsie, however we will have more dinner options with proteins such as steak and fish.
We will be open Monday-Saturday 11:00am-10:00pm and Sunday 10:30am-10pm. Pay is based on experience and skill level. We are hiring for all culinary positions.
Reliable transport is a MUST as timeliness is very important to us.
Needs to be available to work between August 8th and October 1st. (This time is critical for us during this hiring process as we want to develop individual skillsets before the holidays.)
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations
- Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ingredients, and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Work efficiently during service to ensure timely ticket execution and consistent food quality
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and expeditor to support smooth service flow
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products following FIFO and food safety guidelines
- Assist with prep work, daily opening/closing duties, and occasional deep cleaning tasks
- Work cooperatively with a team of your peers to ensure guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety standards is essential.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure are required.
