Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and companionship to our clients. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting well-being through personalized care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support medication administration and help maintain accurate care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment
- Maintain cleanliness of the client’s living space through light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
- Use proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs, medication management, and HIPAA regulations
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer’s), or memory care needs
- Familiarity with caregiving tools such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety procedures including CPR and First Aid certification is desirable
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and protocols for long-term care or hospice settings
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to effectively support clients’ physical and emotional needs
