Bookkeeping/Office Assistant Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist in maintaining financial records and documents
- Perform data entry tasks to update financial information
- Collect 100% of receipts, scan and save them in Drive, categorize in Quickbooks, attach receipt to Quickbooks transaction
- Help reconcile credit card statements
- Organize and maintain company filing systems
- Communicate with employees/vendors to ensure receipts are turned in on time and properly labelled
- Fill in sales tax exemption forms, send to applicable parties
- Answer phones, forward to appropriate party/take messages
- Run errands like: Post office runs, pick up of miscellaneous supplies, etc
- Odd tasks: posting physical help wanted signs, putting registrations in trucks, grabbing deliveries and delivering to the appropriate location, etc
- Aid in the preparation of financial reports
- Support in the management of accounts payable and receivable
Bookkeeping/Office Assistant Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
- QuickBooks Proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency with Google products (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
