About the Role
Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.

What You’ll Do
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals
- Provide therapy services to restore function and prevent disability
- Conduct swallowing assessments (including dysphagia evaluations) and recommend appropriate dietary modifications
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, progress, and home exercises
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the medical record
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of therapy services
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement and performance initiatives
- Participate in infection control, safety, and continuing education programs
- Support department operations and administrative tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Texas licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of speech/language pathology principles and clinical practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
