American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Wisconsin, requiring active WI or compact licensure and certifications including TNCC, ACLS, PALS, and BLS.

Hospital Emergency Department setting serving a pediatric to geriatric patient population
-
Shifts are 12 hours, scheduled between 7a-7p and 10a-10p
-
Every 3rd weekend required

Rotational holiday coverage required

Active WI RN license or active compact RN license required

Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC; ATCN preferred

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required

Two-year nursing degree required; four-year degree preferred

Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required
-
Performs triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5-level triage process
-
Coordinates care for multiple patients simultaneously, prioritizing needs to optimize patient flow
-
Administers IV fluids, blood and blood products, and parenteral fluids; manages medication administration and emergency resuscitation protocols

Monitors life support and automated technical equipment, performing routine and complex treatments
-
Collaborates with providers, peers, ancillary departments, and outside agencies to deliver efficient patient care

Maintains thorough, medically and legally acceptable ED documentation using medical terminology
-
May participate in educational experiences for pre-hospital emergency providers and students
