Summary/Objective
The shift for this position will be Monday - Friday, 11pm - 8am.
This individual will be responsible for maintaining all production machinery, so that all machines continue to operate at peak performance. Also responsible for adding safety guards to production machinery where and when applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, initiate and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all production machinery/equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery/equipment
- Re-engineering of equipment as needed to better perform to company specifications
- Ordering and maintaining inventory of replacement parts and accessories
- Assist in the research of new equipment/machinery for the production floor
- Work with site Electrician, outside vendors etc. to install new production equipment/machinery
- Insure all machinery is meeting original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production machinery/equipment
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Answer production calls(via walkie-talkie) to fix issues as they arise
- Assist production dept. as needed
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in industrial maintenance or related field, or at least 5yrs experience
- Working knowledge of and ability to operate tools and machinery
- Ability to properly maintain and operate power tools and equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand constantly, to lift 50 pounds up to 100, and to climb ladders
- Must be able to obtain a forklift license
- Some travel may be required, must be able to obtain a driver’s license
