Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Manager to lead our retail team through daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient store management, and smooth workflow during your assigned shifts. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the retail team during your shift, providing guidance, motivation, and support to achieve sales goals and operational excellence
- Oversee daily store operations including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, inventory control, and merchandising to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Manage employee scheduling, training new staff members, and facilitating ongoing development to foster a high-performing team
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere
- Conduct inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment, purchasing decisions, pricing adjustments, and stock organization to optimize product availability
- Implement operational procedures related to payroll processing, bookkeeping, and sales reporting to maintain accurate records
- Enforce health and safety standards while supervising cashiering activities and ensuring compliance with company policies
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the retail industry or sales team management environment
- Strong knowledge of retail operations including inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, budgeting, and training & development
- Basic math proficiency for daily cash reconciliation, sales calculations, and inventory assessments
- Experience with operational management tools such as POS systems and retail math applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Previous assistant manager or shift management experience preferred; familiarity with retail store product knowledge is advantageous
