Overview
We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused individual to live on-site and assist with the daily operations of a self-storage facility and related properties. This position includes a free on-site residence in addition to hourly compensation.
The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe property, and is comfortable performing general maintenance and customer service duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily property inspections and lock checks
- Show storage units to prospective customers
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and customer-ready facility
- Sweep, mop, clean offices, restrooms, hallways and vacant units
- Replace lightbulbs and perform general maintenance repairs
- Assist with gate, door, plumbing, and minor repairs
- Monitor the property to ensure safety and security
- Travel to other properties as needed (mileage reimbursed)
- Assist the Office manager with daily operations and oversight of assigned properties
- Respond appropriately to maintenance and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule
- Self-storage software experience a plus
- Maintenance experience preferred including plumbing, gate, and door repairs
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
Compensation & Benefits
- $12.50-$14.50 per hour
- Free on-site residence provided
- Mileage reimbursement
