About the Role
Are you a CAD professional looking to launch or build your career in civil engineering? We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Civil CAD Technician to join our team in Kingman, AZ.
Whether your background is in drafting, architectural, structural, or general CAD work, this role is designed for someone with solid core AutoCAD skills who is eager to learn. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you apply your technical expertise to civil engineering projects—including site development, utility design, grading, and infrastructure layout.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD under the direction of project engineers.
- Assist with site plans, utility layouts, grading plans, and right-of-way deliverables.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on redlines, field measurements, and engineering markup.
- Organize and maintain project CAD files, drafting standards, and document archives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure accurate project completion.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: AutoCAD Certificate or equivalent experience - minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD (or Civil 3D / related CAD software).
- Mindset: Strong desire to learn civil engineering principles and grow your technical skillset.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfort with drafting conventions, scale, layers, and basic spatial math.
- Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in drafting, file management, and following drafting standards.
- Communication: Solid verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Location: Ability to work in-person at our Mohave Valley, AZ office.
