Duties
- Assist in food preparation to ensure quality and freshness in line with safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cashiering, and transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance sales
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen operations by managing food safety protocols, stocking supplies, and assisting with food plating when needed
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for register operations
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to meet service goals efficiently
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work well under pressure
- Ability to handle food safely, follow sanitation standards, and adhere to health regulations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting moderate loads, and performing physical tasks associated with food industry roles
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
