Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling safety procedures and maintaining accurate records of chemical usage.
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to achieve optimal floor care, buffing, and sanitation standards.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of cleaning supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness by performing tasks such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces.
- Support facilities maintenance activities when needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests or concerns and ensuring a positive experience for all facility users.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures including chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
- Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to heavy lifting, chemical handling, and general facilities maintenance.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Customer service skills that enable effective communication with clients and team members.
- Prior porter or industrial cleaning experience is advantageous for understanding the diverse needs of commercial environments.
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
