PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provides single point of contact for the host business to all other stakeholders. (i.e. partnering agencies, families, conservators, ISC’s and various other stakeholders)
2. Identify internship sites within the host business so that students can participate in a variety of work experiences in order to explore career options and build marketable, competitive skills leading to employment.
3. Develop sites that will increase job specific skills, work quality and productivity.
4. Provides orientation to host business, and instructs students to learn employability skills such as problem solving, teamwork, grooming, budgeting, and self-advocacy through classroom instruction.
5. Provides timely communication to service recipients, families, care providers, funding sources, staff and other natural supports in the community to foster open and professional communication.
6. Provide universal design in the accommodations and adaptations needed at work sites.
7. Completes all required documentation including but not limited to reports, provider reviews, daily notes, progress notes, attendance logs, community participation logs, Medication Administration Records, and any additional documentation needed to maintain complete and accurate service recipient files per DIDD and/or Vocational Rehabilitation case management standards.
8. Plan, coordinate and/or attend required meetings. (i.e. Advisory Committee, KAEC meetings , Intern employment planning meetings, Circle of Support meetings, Family Information meetings, etc.)
9. Plan with interns, families and partner agencies to determine career interests, specific job preferences, skills and abilities to develop an individualized approach to placement.
10. Prepare and deliver various program materials. (i.e. family involvement curriculum, program information to internal and external partners.)
11. Monitor and evaluate intern progress.
12. Provide supervision, education, leadership and communicate with all Project SEARCH Job Coaches.
13. Work with the Project Search Advisory Committee on program development and continuous improvement of program.
14. Participate in Project SEARCH sponsored trainings and conference
