Police Officer Recruit: $ 50,652.37 - $ 60,534.24
Sworn Officer: $ 65,846.77 - $ 78,693.06

Lateral transfers are accepted
. After approximately eight months of initial training and successful completion of the Field Training program, officers are promoted to Police Officer status. After the initial probationary period, Police Officers may apply for special assignments, including:
Detective
Drug Task Force Officer
School Resource Officer
Support Services Officer
Training Officer
Most Laramie Police Officers serve in the Patrol Unit within the Operations Division. Besides their patrol duties, officers can also pursue roles as instructors in various specialized areas, such as:
Qualifications and Requirements:
MUST HAVE NO:
Felony convictions.
Domestic violence convictions.
Three (3) or more driving violations within the past 36 months.
Have not used marijuana or THC products in the last year.
