Position Overview
PB Loader is seeking a dependable Welder I to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for welding steel components primarily using MIG welding, following blueprints and engineering specifications to produce high-quality weldments. The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Experience welding aluminum or stainless steel is a plus, but not required.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday
- 10-hour shifts (4/10 schedule)
- Overtime may be required on Fridays and weekends based on production needs
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel components according to work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Set up welding machines and adjust welding parameters based on welding symbols and specifications
- Prepare, align, clamp, and assemble components to maintain dimensional accuracy
- Perform welding primarily in flat positions; out-of-position welding only when approved or certified
- Inspect weldments during and after welding to ensure compliance with engineering tolerances
- Measure and verify critical dimensions using inspection tools
- Identify and communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, or deviations to supervision
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding workstation
- Properly tag, stamp, and document completed weldments
- Accurately record time, job numbers, and production sequences
- Follow all safety policies, company procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 year of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and measurements
- Knowledge of welding machine setup and welding parameters
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred
- Experience welding aluminum and/or stainless steel
- D1.1 welding certification or ability to obtain certification
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive hand movements
- Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
- Work in a shop environment with exposure to noise, fumes, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment
- Ability to perform visual inspections requiring close and distance vision

Work Environment
This position works in a manufacturing and shop environment with frequent exposure to welding fumes, machinery, forklifts, varying temperatures, and noise levels. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
