Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial driving equipment with manual transmissions
- Load and unload packages using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring secure transportation of goods
- Plan and follow efficient route driving schedules to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel and time efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages with a friendly attitude and addressing customer inquiries professionally
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance and operational readiness
- Assist with warehouse activities such as moving inventory, stocking supplies, and organizing shipments when needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for all completed routes
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong track record of safe driving and punctuality
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures and inventory management
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, moving items securely, and handling equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks (training provided if necessary)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required
