Qualifications/Experience:
State of Minnesota Teaching License K-12.
Prefer strong background in teaching and working with adult learners.
Successful background check.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Thorough knowledge of subjects taught (Math, Science, Social Studies, and Reading). Thorough knowledge of principles of adult education and effective teaching. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with professionals, staff, and students.
Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.
Specific Tasks:
Provide Adult Basic Education (ABE) instruction at Anoka Ramsey Community College (Cambridge) while collaborating with educators across the Central Minnesota ABE-East consortium (Braham, Cambridge-Isanti, Milaca, Mora, and Princeton). Responsibilities include planning and delivering learner-centered instruction, developing individualized learning plans and goals, maintaining accurate student records and participation data in the Student Information Database (SiD), fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment, and staying current on GED testing policies and requirements.

Hours Per Day:
Average of 4 hours/week. Year round program with flexibility based on Supervisor approval.
