Position: Industrial Maintenance Technician
Located: Jackson, WI
SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for the maintenance of all the equipment to include production, warehouse, the office area, and the physical building. Maintenance to be performed will cover mechanical, electrical (up to and including three phase), hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and some carpentry. The chosen candidate must be able to successfully work alone or as a member of a team with little or no supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates maintenance activities with the Maintenance Supervisor to work on designated projects in a timely, efficient, and safe manner
- Apply maintenance troubleshooting skills in a wide variety of machine applications in response to production requirements
- Troubleshoot control wiring, relay logic, motor drive circuits, control system devices, photo eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, and transducers
- Utilize digital voltmeter, mega OHM meter and AMP probes to diagnose electrical problems
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, repair and service of machinery and support systems as required
- Perform systematic preventive maintenance, including electrical and mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs on plant equipment as necessary, and visually detect any issues
- Prioritizes repairs due to machine breakdowns over projects and other tasks
- Perform welding and machine shop tasks related to repair of equipment and machinery
- Maintains and organizes the maintenance area for safe storage of parts and equipment
- Snow plowing and shoveling of walks which includes adjusting work hours to accommodate snow removal needs
- Comply with area Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures
- Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and of company assets
- Ensure a professional image with internal as well as external customers and vendors
- Any/all other duties assigned

- Above average mechanical knowledge of gears and gear ratios
- Ability to weld and fabricate
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuits including three phase
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics
- Ability to plumb and install air and water lines
- Some carpentry skills needed
- Forklift certification and ability to maintain certification
- Problem solving, time management, and communication skills a must
- Ability to positively work with others
- Punctuality and good attendance are essential to ensure project deadlines are met
- PPE (safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.) must be worn
- Pre-employment drug screening and post offer background check is required
