Part-Time Library Technician

Williams Mullen is seeking a Part-Time Library Technician to join our Richmond office and support the firm's Collection Management Services. This position is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with library experience who enjoys managing legal and business information resources in a collaborative and service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisitions

Order new materials and resources.

Process invoices and maintain accurate records.

Manage relationships with library vendors and service providers.
Collection Maintenance

Process, shelve, and maintain library materials.

Update and manage loose-leaf services, pocket parts, and periodicals.

Assist with collection evaluation and weeding projects.
Cataloging

Create and update catalog records.

Identify and correct cataloging errors to ensure accuracy and accessibility of library resources.
Additional Support

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Completion of two years of college in a related field and one to two years of related library experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Familiarity with Integrated Library System (ILS) software, database searching, and Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, push fully loaded book carts, and bend or reach to retrieve and shelve books.
Schedule
This is a part-time position, working approximately 15 to 20 hours per week. Scheduled work hours will generally fall between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Occasional flexibility may be required to work additional days or adjusted hours based on staffing and operational needs.
