We’re looking for a curious, hands-on intern to join our Lab Management crew in San Francisco. This role sits at the intersection of Technical Support, Lab Operations, and Project Coordination—aka, you’ll be right in the middle of the action, helping keep our labs running smoothly while driving improvements behind the scenes. If you’re the kind of person who cares about what’s happening in the booth, behind the wall, or under the hood just as much as what’s happening on screen or on stage, this is the role for you.
In this role, you’ll partner with senior engineers, lab ops, and cross-functional teams to keep systems humming, solve real-world problems, and bring new ideas to life. Whether you’re troubleshooting issues, supporting lab users, or helping roll out new installations and upgrades, you’ll have a direct impact on how our labs operate today and in the future.
Projects & Technical Exposure
Get hands-on with troubleshooting across audio, video, control systems, and compute environments (with support from engineers)
Join lab walks to flag and resolve real issues - cleanliness, safety (EHS), space usage, and setup gaps
Document “how we do things,” spot inefficiencies and prototype smarter workflows using data, automation, and AI
Nice to have (not required):
Some exposure to engineering, IT, or AV environments (labs, studios, theaters, etc.)
Working towards Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field. Candidates with a background in other STEM disciplines (e.g., Mathematics) are also encouraged to apply. Recent graduates (within 6 months of graduation) are eligible. Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 6 months between September 2026- March 2027.
Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible)
