Position Summary
The Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operation of the PORT 32 Naples Clubhouse, including Wahoo's River Bar & Grill, private events, member experiences, and front-of-house operations. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional service, maintaining operational excellence, developing a high-performing team, and delivering a welcoming environment for members, guests, and visitors.
Working closely with the General Manager and corporate leadership, the Clubhouse Manager will oversee restaurant operations, event execution, staffing, member satisfaction, and operational standards while supporting the overall financial success of the Clubhouse.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leadership & Operations
- Lead the daily operations of the Clubhouse, restaurant, bar, and member gathering spaces.
- Maintain exceptional hospitality standards and create memorable experiences for members and guests.
- Ensure smooth daily service while resolving member and guest concerns professionally.
- Oversee opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Clubhouse environment at all times.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and service excellence.
Food & Beverage Operations
- Oversee front-of-house restaurant and bar operations.
- Partner with leadership to ensure consistent food quality and service execution.
- Monitor labor efficiency and staffing levels.
- Assist with inventory controls, ordering, and cost management.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and health department regulations.
Member & Guest Experience
- Build strong relationships with marina members and frequent guests.
- Anticipate member needs and proactively resolve service opportunities.
- Support member events, holiday programming, and special Clubhouse activities.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout service periods.
Private Events
- Coordinate and oversee private events hosted within the Clubhouse.
- Work with clients from planning through execution to ensure flawless event delivery.
- Coordinate staffing, room setup, timelines, vendors, and event logistics.
- Ensure all events meet PORT 32 hospitality standards.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, interview, onboard, train, coach, and develop front-of-house employees.
- Prepare employee schedules to meet business demands while managing labor costs.
- Conduct performance coaching and provide ongoing feedback.
- Promote employee engagement, accountability, and professional development.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist in achieving revenue, labor, and profitability goals.
- Monitor daily sales performance and operating metrics.
- Review payroll for accuracy.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain food safety, liquor licensing, and sanitation compliance.
- Promote a safe working environment and ensure proper incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Maintain company policies, SOPs, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of hospitality, restaurant, private club, marina, resort, or hotel management experience.
- Proven experience managing private events, banquets, or member programming.
- Experience managing labor, scheduling, inventory, and operating costs.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and restaurant management software.
- Hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience in private clubs, yacht clubs, marinas, country clubs, or waterfront hospitality.
- Event planning or banquet management experience.
- ServSafe Food Manager and responsible alcohol service certifications (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
