Controls Engineer
Position Overview:

We are a growing industrial automation company that designs and builds custom turnkey automation systems for manufacturers across a variety of industries. We engineer, build, debug, and ship complete automation solutions from our Saginaw, Michigan facility, including robotic assembly systems, material handling equipment, testing systems, vision inspection applications, and lean manufacturing solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems

Develop and modify HMI applications

Configure and integrate industrial networks and automation hardware

Support robotic and machine vision integrations

Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and related documentation

Participate in machine startup, debug, testing, and commissioning activities

Collaborate with mechanical engineers, machine builders, and customers throughout the project lifecycle

Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT)

Travel occasionally to customer sites for installation and startup support
Preferred Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline

Experience programming PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation platforms

Experience with HMI development and industrial automation systems

Familiarity with robotics, machine vision, and motion control systems is a plus

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and project coordination abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced custom automation environment
