Now Hiring: Masonry Apprentice
Detroit Brick & Masonry is looking for motivated Masonry Apprentices to join our growing team. If you have experience in residential masonry restoration and are looking for a long-term career with opportunities to advance into a Lead Mason position, we'd like to hear from you.
Responsibilities
As a Masonry Apprentice, you will work directly under a Lead Mason while developing the skills necessary to eventually run your own job sites. Your responsibilities include:
- Following directions from the Lead Mason.
- Assisting laborers when additional help is needed.
- Learning and mastering residential masonry restoration techniques.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and productive job site.
Required Experience
Applicants should be familiar with:
- Tuckpointing
- Cutting out and replacing miscellaneous brick
- Mixing mortar and concrete
- Assembling scaffolding
- Following instructions and working efficiently with a crew
Tool Proficiency
Candidates should be comfortable using:
- Gas saws
- Hammer drills
- Grinders
- Levels
- Basic hand tools
- Mortar and concrete mixers
- Scaffolding
- Ladders

Pay & Schedule
- $25.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
- 40–50 hours per week
- Full-time position
