This position will be primarily be in the Permian but travel to other areas could happen.
Schedule: 14 days on 7 off, 77 hours per week
Full Time: Weekly pay, per diem
Pay: Hourly-Depending on experience.
We are seeking a Tractor Mechanic to perform services on heavy duty tractors, Frac equipment and Yellow iron at customer facility.
We are an established maintenance service company in the Odessa Tx area.
Duties of Tractor Mechanic may include:
- Perform diagnostics, trouble shooting and put together repair plans.
- Computer diagnostic experience required.
- DOT inspections understanding a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to install, adjust or align brakes, and wheels and wheel components such as bearings and air brake and valve systems to diagnose and repair braking and valve systems
- Knowledge of air brake and valve systems to diagnose and repair braking and valve systems
- Knowledge of vehicle body control systems including electronics, AC and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on all units as scheduled
- Other tasks as assigned
Types of Equipment :
Light/Medium and Heavy-Duty Tractor Mechanic, Frac Engines, Transmissions and Fuel Systems Generators, 12/24 Volt vehicle electrical systems. Sandbox & pneumatic Trailers. Kenworth, Volvo, and International. Yellow Iron, forklifts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 year Tractor Mechanic Experience/Training.
- Must have own tools
- Technical Institute Training or equivalent work experience and training. Capability to do electrical wiring
- Basic understanding of OSHA, Fire Protection regulations
- Follow all Safety, Personal Protective and Equipment Policies.
All applicants must have a professional appearance, valid drivers license, clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
Successful candidate will possess and use his/her personal hand tools. Travel employees accepted, company housing and per diem provided.
