THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an Account Manager to own the full success of a portfolio of commercial landscape maintenance clients in Statesville, start to finish. You'll be the face of TJL to your clients and the leader of your crews in the field, responsible for the quality, safety, and consistency of everything that happens on your accounts. This is a true end-to-end ownership role for someone who wants to run their own book of business, not just a piece of it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned client accounts, building relationships that produce renewals, referrals, and expanded agreements
Conduct monthly site audits across your portfolio and deliver polished, client-facing reports that reinforce TJL's value
Lead your assigned crews day to day, running one-on-ones with foremen, coaching quality in real time, and keeping crews accountable to TJL's standards
Own scheduling and routing for maximum efficiency, and lead weekly safety and tailgate meetings
Approve timecards daily and manage labor hours to keep every job on budget
Identify and present enhancement opportunities, submitting proposals with full scope and photos to hit your sales goals
Own the renewal process end to end, from tracking contract timelines to presenting and closing renewals on schedule
Spot at-risk accounts early and build action plans in partnership with Branch Management before issues become losses
Serve as the go-to Aspire expert for your assigned crews, keeping documentation, allocations, and records accurate and current
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of landscape industry management experience, including both client-facing account management and crew leadership
A proven ability to manage relationships, lead crews, and drive both retention and sales
Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills, written and verbal
Proficiency with Aspire, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
A valid U.S. driver's license
A Horticulture, Business, or Construction Management degree, or a CLP or equivalent certification, is a plus, but not required

- 5+ years of landscape industry management experience required
- Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) or equivalent a plus (optional)
- Comfortable with field management software (Aspire experience a plus)
- Degree in Horticulture, Business, or Construction Management a plus (optional)
- Experience leading field crews of 24 people, managing 46 teams
- Proven track record managing client accounts and driving retention
- Strong communication and follow-through - you respond fast and close the loop (optional)
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record required
