Seeking a dynamic, highly organized and bilingual Low Voltage Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and completion of complex electrical projects involving low voltage systems.. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to project coordination, team leadership, and technical expertise in low voltage systems, contributing to the successful delivery of large-scale electrical projects across diverse sectors
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and management of low voltage electrical projects from inception through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Assist with the recruitment of low voltage personnel
- Coordinate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate seamless project execution and resolve any issues promptly.
- Directs daily operations and guides Division Managers and General Superintendents
- Led performance reviews, disciplinary procedures, and separations for the low voltage team.
- Drives short- and long-term strategic planning as a core management team member
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints for accuracy and compliance with electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, permits, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and progress reports.
- Oversee the permitting phase involvement to ensure all regulatory requirements are met before construction begins.
- Conduct construction site visits to monitor progress, quality control, safety protocols, and adherence to design specifications.
- Evaluates and authorizes major bids, contracts, and complex designs.
- Expand the low voltage department by securing new business and retaining key accounts through strategic client, contractor, and vendor relationships.
- Lead project scheduling efforts utilizing construction scheduling tools; coordinate construction schedules with team members to optimize workflow.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs related to labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors; implement cost management strategies to maximize efficiency.
- Generate new revenue and increase profit margins by securing industry partnerships, vendor agreements, and fresh market opportunities
- Collaborates with Division Managers to establish operational sales targets and deliver quarterly and annual revenue forecasts.
- Review construction drawings and schematics for electrical systems; ensure proper installation practices in accordance with electrical codes such as NFPA 70 compliance.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders through regular meetings; provide leadership to project teams ensuring clear understanding of objectives and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering or related field experience
- Extensive experience managing large-scale electrical projects with a focus on low voltage systems including security systems, data networks, fire alarm systems, access control, CCTV surveillance, audio visual systems, communication infrastructure and DAS & BDA for residential, commercial and industrial areas.
- 6+ years of experience in the low voltage and systems industry
- 8+ years of electrical experience
- Bilingual Spanish required
- Deep knowledge of electrical engineering principles, system design processes, blueprints reading (including schematics), and construction drawing review.
- Familiarity with electrical building codes including NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and NFPA 70E compliance requirements
- Ability to develop accurate construction estimates related to labor, materials, and equipment costs using construction estimating techniques.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams on-site; excellent time management skills for coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of system design principles for electrical systems; ability to review schematics and ensure proper integration within overall building infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams; proactive problem-solving abilities to address challenges swiftly.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
