ABOUT US
The Therapy Collaborative (TTC) is an outpatient occupational therapy and speech-language pathology practice located in Normal, IL. We operate under a primary therapist model, in which each patient is paired with a consistent, dedicated clinician, allowing families to build a lasting relationship with a provider who understands their history and goals. This model depends on the therapists who choose to work here, and our schedules, culture, and policies are designed to protect their time with the same care we bring to our patients.
THE ROLE
We invite candidates to join a specialty hub of care led by therapists trained at leading hospitals across the country. TTC is seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist to join our team on a regular, recurring weekly schedule. This position is well suited to an experienced clinician who wants a genuine, standing caseload — whether that's one consistent day a week or several — without committing to a full-time schedule. Under our primary therapist model, your Part-Time schedule becomes the foundation for a set of patients who see you, specifically, week after week.
Part-Time status at TTC is defined by a regularly scheduled, recurring weekly commitment rather than by hours alone. As your availability grows, there is an optional path to Full-Time status, along with the associated benefits; there is no obligation to pursue this, and many of our Part-Time therapists remain in this role by choice.
Weekly Hours
8–29 hours, on a regular recurring schedule
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay, commensurate with experience
Benefits
Pro-rated Paid Time Off (PTO); eligible to flex hours around clinic holiday closures
Growth Path
Optional path to Full-Time status
Patient Population
All ages served — pediatric through geriatric
WHAT YOU'LL DO
■ Provide direct patient care, including evaluations and treatment sessions, for a standing caseload of your own under our primary therapist model
■ Maintain a consistent, recurring weekly schedule so patients and families can count on seeing you regularly
■ Collaborate with our PRN and full-time staff to help ensure seamless coverage and continuity of care across the practice
■ Grow your caseload and weekly hours over time as your availability allows, with an optional path toward Full-Time status
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
■ Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the State of Illinois
■ Five or more years of post-graduate clinical experience is preferred, particularly with a specialization, special interest, or relevant certifications
■ Experience treating patients across the lifespan is welcome — TTC serves pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
■ Clinical specialties and areas of focus are encouraged; we value therapists who bring particular expertise or interest to our caseload
■ Experience across a broad range of diagnoses and treatment approaches is valued, including sensory processing, feeding and picky eating, motor delays, DCD, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), complex rehab, and intensive therapy models
■ Ability to commit to a consistent, recurring weekly schedule of at least 8 hours
■ A genuine commitment to continuity of care, as this role centers on building lasting relationships with your own patients
■ Above all, we are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic about our mission and culture, with both the clinical skillset and the professional demeanor to match
WHY TTC
■ A caseload that's genuinely yours. As a Part-Time therapist under our primary therapist model, you build real, lasting relationships with your patients rather than filling scattered shifts.
■ A schedule that can grow with you, should you wish it. As your availability increases, you have the option to move into Full-Time status, along with the associated benefits. There is no expectation to grow beyond Part-Time status should you prefer to remain in this role.
■ A culture of lifelong learning and collaboration. We value therapists who are committed to ongoing clinical growth and who support one another — bringing your expertise, learning from colleagues, and helping shape our collective approach to care.
■ Training and mentorship. TTC invests in the professional development of its therapists, offering ongoing training and mentorship to build skill and confidence across a broad range of diagnoses and treatment approaches.
■ Optional research engagement. TTC operates as both a clinic and a learning lab, with active research partnerships. Interested therapists are welcome to participate in this work.
■ Administrative support for professional growth. We provide administrative support as you develop new skills and techniques, including support for license renewal.
■ A practice that values time outside of work. Our scheduling policies, including pro-rated PTO and the option to flex hours around select holidays, are designed to help our team spend meaningful time with their families.
