Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team for the daytime shift from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. This vital role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals across various care settings. As a CNA, you will support nursing staff by assisting with daily patient needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity while maintaining compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a positive environment for our patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices are followed at all times.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to nursing staff, including symptoms related to infectious diseases or behavioral health concerns.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines by safeguarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, medication administration under supervision, and basic phlebotomy when trained.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery in settings like long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospitals.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current state licensure or registration.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, and those requiring memory or behavioral health care.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks) systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, aseptic techniques, and safe lifting practices including the use of Hoyer lifts.
- Prior experience in healthcare environments such as hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), long-term care facilities, hospice or palliative care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving physical endurance.
- Strong caregiver communication skills paired with a compassionate attitude toward patient service.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
