Job Summary
The Executive Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the hotel or facility. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards of hospitality. The Executive Housekeeper will manage a team of housekeepers, implement cleaning protocols, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies while fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to uphold quality standards in service and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to guests.
- Address guest complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records related to housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, supply inventory, and maintenance requests.
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry is essential.
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, and custodial practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and staff effectively.
