SHOWROOM SALES ASSISTANT

We are a well-established importer and supplier of premium natural stone and porcelain products serving designers, architects, contractors, fabricators, and homeowners throughout Southern California.
We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys working with people and wants to develop a long-term career in sales.
Position Overview
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys customer interaction, is highly organized, and wants to learn the sales side of the design and construction industry.
You will be the first point of contact for customers visiting our showroom, while also supporting our sales team and learning about our products, systems, and customer base.
This role offers a clear path for growth into a Junior Sales Representative position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers visiting the showroom.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Help customers who do not have an assigned salesperson.
- Support sales representatives when they are out of the office.
- Assist our San Diego sales team with product availability, photos, hold materials, and customer requests.
- Maintain relationships with smaller accounts and repeat customers.
- Learn our products, systems, and sales process.
- Maintain showroom appearance and organization.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable speaking on the phone and interacting with customers.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Fluent English required.
- Spanish is a plus.
- Experience in customer service, showroom sales, design, construction, flooring, tile, stone, cabinetry, or related industries is preferred but not required.
Schedule
Monday through Friday (one weekday off)
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience starting at $22.00
Growth Opportunity
This is not a receptionist position.
We are looking for someone interested in developing a career within our company. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to grow into a Junior Sales Representative role and eventually manage their own customer accounts.
