We are seeking a dependable, patient, and self-motivated individual to provide one-on-one support services for an adult individual with developmental disabilities.
This position focuses on community participation, recreational activities, social engagement, life skills development, and creating meaningful experiences throughout the day.
The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, creating structure, and helping others stay engaged and active in their community.
Responsibilities Include:
- Community outings and activities
- Recreational and social engagement
- Life skills support
- Transportation to activities when needed
- Following daily and weekly activity frameworks
- Documentation and service notes
- Communication with agency staff and family members
- Promoting independence and community involvement
Examples of Activities May Include:
- Movies
- Bowling
- Parks
- Swimming
- Shopping
- Arts and crafts
- Community events
- Life skills activities
- Other recreational outings
A weekly activity framework currently exists and may be used as a guide. Staff are encouraged to contribute ideas and help create engaging experiences.

This is not a passive position.
We are looking for someone who can actively engage, redirect boredom, contribute ideas, and help create a structured and meaningful day.
The individual may occasionally require redirection, patience, behavioral support, and consistent boundaries. The ideal candidate should remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when challenges arise.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, caregiving, or community support services is preferred but not required.
Please note:
Individuals receiving services are responsible for their own approved activity expenses.
Staff are responsible for covering their own admission fees, meals, entertainment expenses, and personal purchases during community outings.
Qualified applicants will be invited to complete a brief screening questionnaire and interview.
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
