Position Summary
Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a customer-focused Part-Time Apparel Team Member to join our team. We are looking for individuals with prior apparel retail experience who have a passion for fashion, merchandising, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role plays a key part in maintaining a well-organized, visually appealing apparel department while helping customers find the products that best fit their needs.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with apparel selections, sizing, and product recommendations.
- Maintain apparel floor presentation, including folding, sizing, replenishment, and recovery.
- Ensure merchandise is displayed according to company standards and promotional plans.
- Stock and organize inventory from the stockroom to the sales floor.
- Assist with apparel merchandising, visual displays, and seasonal floor sets.
- Process price changes, markdowns, and signage updates.
- Maintain fitting rooms and sales floor cleanliness and organization.
- Support inventory accuracy through proper stocking and recovery practices.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous apparel retail experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with clothing merchandising, visual presentation, or specialty retail.
- Knowledge of apparel sizing, brands, fabrics, and trends.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
